Who Would Buy This: Those shopping for a smaller 22" HDTV Compact Television for a Den,Kitchen,Bedroom or other small living space. The KDL22BX320 is a new compact television launched by Sony Bravia in February 2011, The 22 inch Compact Television is perfect for any smaller room in the home such as a Kitchen, Office, Dorm Room, Bedroom etc.
Pros: The KDL22BX320 is an Excellent compact television that fits perfectly in any smaller room and can also be wall mounted to save even more space. The KDL22BX320 is excellent for a dorm room or smaller bedroom and it has Five separate HD inputs (two HDMI, two HD component, one PC) so the unit can easily be hooked up to a personal computer to play video games or watch streaming programming, or research for homework assignments.
My REVIEW Of The KDL22BX320 22" HDTV
My son was pestering me to get him a new television for his bedroom to replace the inherited old style Sony we had given him after upgrading to a new 55 inch flat panel last year.Well it did not take me long to give in LOL, so we found ourselves in the market for a small compact television.
We gravitated to the KDL22BX320 after we saw a program on television, that showed it was a state of the art new model, and was internet ready (for his schooling) and he could also hook up cable, and of course play games on it.
So we decided to purchase the Sony Bravia KDL22BX320
After a bit of searching online we were pleasently surprised at the price which had an launch price, of just $268.00 from Amazon.com which we thought was very reasonable for a brand new 2011 model and was within our budget of $300.00 We looked at a couple of other models also which also looked good but because the KDL22BX320 was a brand new model we stuck with that one and ordered it from Amazon.com.
We also ordered a HDMI cable and a wall mount as our son really needed the extra space that would be freed up with it being mounted on his bedroom wall as his room is quite small. It arrived quickly, just 3 days actually and my son eagerly unpacked it.
Compact and Remarkably Thin
First thing I noticed is, it is a nice looking television in a nice black color that reminded me of the finish on a piano, I also was suprised how thin it was and really compact and I could immediately see it really would not of taken up much room, even if we had not purchased the wall mount and just used the included stand, so if you decide to buy it and your worried about space it really does not take up much at all.
720dpi Picture Quality
After my husband mounted it on my sons wall and set it up we turned it on and the picture was SHARP and vibrant, in fact I thought it was better quality that our 55 inch in the living room. My son quickly loaded a playstation game and was very happy with the gaming experience.
My husband explained it was 720dpi which is dots per square inch apparnetly and I really thought the picture was fantastic even though I did not really understand the 720 thingy.
Getting Online was really Simple
Getting online was really easy once it was hooked up and it is going to be great for my son for homework assignments and checking his facebook account but he is more into his games, What a Surprise LOL
Things we did not Like
I liked everything but my son was most dissapointed that it did not have a headphone jack but it was not such a big deal as we ordered a cable and adapter for a few bucks and the problem was solved. Other than that nothing else we disliked.
Conclusion
Both my husband and my son thought the KDL22BX320 was a great little television and I really liked the picture quality and we are thinking of buying another one for our Kitchen it really is a great little television perfect for a smaller room in your home.
